Willie Jones III
Born in Los Angeles, California, Willie Jones III (Drums) was awarded a full scholarship to  the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied under the tutelage of the legendary Albert "Tootie" Heath. In 1992 he was a semifinalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Drum Competition. He can be heard on a host of recordings, including Horace Silver's Jazz Has a Sense of Humor (Impulse!), Kurt Elling's Grammy Award-nominated Night Moves (Concord), Roy Hargrove's Moment to Moment (Verve) and Eric Reed's Stand (WJ3). In addition to leading his own quintet, Jones has worked with Sonny Rollins, Ernestine Anderson, Bobby Hutcherson, Wynton Marsalis, Cedar Walton, Frank Wess, Eric Alexander, Bill Charlap, Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, and Hank Jones. In 2000, Jones founded WJ3 Records and has released 17 of his own CDs and those of his contemporaries. Since 2015 he has been named in DownBeat magazine's Annual Critics Polls in the Rising Star Drum and Rising Star Producer categories. In 2017 he released his latest and seventh CD as a leader, My Point Is.... Jones' 2013 release, The Willie Jones III Sextet Plays The Music of Max Roach Live at Dizzy's Club, received high praise from both jazz critics and mainstream outlets such as the New York Times.

Greg Tardy
Saxophonist, multi-reedist, and composer Gregory Tardy is one of the most versatile jazz musicians of his generation, equally comfortable in a variety of musical and improvisational situations.  Born into a musical family, he began his musical career studying classical clarinet. In his early 20s, while preparing for a symphony career he discovered jazz saxophone and hasn't looked back.

In 1992, he started playing with the legendary drummer, Elvin Jones, and he recorded his first CD, Crazy Love. As a sought after sideman he has played with many prominent jazz artists including: Andrew Hill, Tom Harrell, Dave Douglas, Wynton Marsalis, Jay McShann, Nicholas Payton, Roy Hargrove, Steve Coleman, Betty Carter, Don Byron, Bill Frisell, Rashied Ali, Ellis Marsalis, Brian Lynch, John Patitucci, and many more. He has also performed and/or recorded along with many other notable saxophonists, such as Joe Lovano, Mark Turner, Chris Potter, Dewey Redman, Ravi Coltrane, and others. In more recent years, Tardy has gone full circle, by focusing on his clarinets more, using them on recordings by Tom Harrell, Ohad Talmor/Steve Swallow, Stefan Harris, Chris Potter and Andrew Hill.

His performance schedule has taken him all over the world, playing at all of the major jazz festivals and on some of the biggest stages in jazz.  As a sideman, he has been featured on several Downbeat Albums of the Year and also several Grammy nominated recordings; including a Grammy winning CD with Brian Lynch in 2006.  He also has recorded fourteen CDs under his own name featuring his unique compositions, blending his love of traditional jazz with a more modern seeking style. His latest release "Chasing After The Wind" was released in the fall of 2016.

Alex Claffy Bio
26-year old Alexander Claffy was raised in a musical household (his father is a pianist, his mother, a vocalist), and had many of his earliest lessons on bandstands in the heart of Philadelphia. As a teenager, Claffy was fortunate enough to find a mentor in many Philly natives, and has continued his study of the double bass with some of the world's finest musicians, including Ron Carter, Dwayne Burno and Orin O'Brien. Since moving to New York City in 2011, he has had the honor of working with many of his living heroes, including Jimmy Cobb, Louis Hayes, Harold Mabern, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Christian Scott, Joey Alexander, Wallace Roney and many more.  In the past 3 years he has recorded for the Verve, HighNote, Positone, RopeADope and LaReserve record labels.

Christie Dashiell
With her sultry soulful flare and cutting edge compositions, D.C.-based vocalist Christie Dashiell is surely a rising star. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Greenville, North Carolina, Dashiell is a graduate of Howard University and the Manhattan School of Music. As a member of Afro-Blue, Howard's premier vocal jazz ensemble, Dashiell appeared on NBC's "The Sing Off." She has twice received recognition in DownBeat Magazine's Student Music
Awards as Outstanding Soloist and Best Vocalist in the Graduate College division and was recently selected as a semifinalist in the 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Vocals Competition.

In 2016, Dashiell released her debut solo album, Time All Mine, debuting on Billboard's Jazz Album and Contemporary Jazz Album Charts at numbers thirteen (13) and twenty-two (22), in addition to JazzTimes' Top 50
Writer's Ballots, Critics' Poll. Currently she travels with her quartet and works with world-renowned pianist Helen Sung, Marcus Strickland and Twi-Life, and Otis Brown, III. She has appeared as a featured artist on Blue Note Record's, Supreme Sonacy, Vol. 1, Marquis Hill's, The Way We Play, and has been seen in concert at The White House, Jazz at Lincoln Center - Doha, Qatar, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, the Kennedy Center, Atlanta Jazz Festival, Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival, DC Jazz Festival and Winter Jazzfest in New York City. Currently, Dashiell is Jazz Voice Instructor at Snow College in Ephraim, UT, where she happily connects with her students via skype and yearly visits to campus.

Rick Germanson
Jazz Pianist RICK GERMANSON has been highly in-demand on the New York City jazz scene for two decades. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Rick relocated to New York after winning the GRAND PRIZE at The American Pianists' Association Jazz Piano Competition in 1996. Since then, Rick has released four recordings as a leader and is documented on over fifty recordings as a sideman. In 2004, Rick was named "Best of New Talent" by the monthly publication All About Jazz.

Rick has toured around the world appearing at major concert halls, festivals and clubs. His talents have been summoned by many top jazz musicians: Elvin Jones; Louis Hayes; Jimmy Cobb; Joe Chambers; Grady Tate; Bobby Durham; Ray Appleton; T.S. Monk; Will Calhoun; Pat Martino; Russell Malone; Slide Hampton; Curtis Fuller; Papo Vazquez; Steve Turre; Delfayo Marsalis; Steve Davis; Frank Morgan; Gary Bartz; Charles McPherson; James Spaulding; Donald Harrison; Vincent Herring; Jeremy Pelt; George Coleman; Eric Alexander; Javon Jackson; Eddie Henderson; Tom Harrell; Brian Lynch; Jim Rotondi; Regina Carter; Marlena Shaw; Ray Mantilla; Cecil Payne; Charles Davis and Steve Nelson; among many others.

Rick has a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwauke, and also studied with David Hazeltine at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music  He later did graduate work at Manhattan School of Music, studying with Jaki Byard. As an educator himself, Rick is Associate Professor of Jazz Piano Studies at The Jackie McLean Institute; Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. He has held this position since 2014.
